I have worked across the financial services industry for over a decade since graduating university with a law degree. I have a background in project management and client relationship management.

I'm passionate about social welfare and see PNS as a shining example of how people can come together to achieve great things. It's a privilege to be involved with shaping the charity's future and I'm grateful to be part of an organisation with such a rich past.

In my spare time I am passionate about sports, both playing and spectating. I love the outdoors and I am never happier than when I'm out exploring with my family and our wee dog.

    KAREN McCONNELL

Regional Manager for Fundraising Groups - Action for Children

I joined the board of Parent Network Scotland in 2023. I am very proud to have come through the Scottish Parent Academy. I started the well being toolkit during the pandemic and it really did change my life! Not only did it provide me with brilliant parenting tips but the progression through the courses gave me the confidence to return to work after a ten year career break to raise my family.

I followed my passion and dream of a career in charity and now manage fundraising groups with Action for Children.

It makes me immensely proud to now sit on the board of Parent Network Scotland.

In my free time I love spending time with friends, my husband and 3 amazing children.
